About Me

My photo
Every day I pray and battle with my mission to start pleasing God and stop satisfying myself and appeasing others. Defeats in this battle have cost me a lot, where prayers, praise and God’s Word have brought some miraculous victories. It is not because my daddy is a preacher or because I was always in church, that I see God not as a casualty but a necessity. However, at 23 my experiences and understanding that IT MAY NOT BE EASY TO DO THE RIGHT THING BUT THE CONSEQUENCES OF DOING THE WRONG THINGS ARE TOO HARD TO DEAL WITH, have brought the Sunday school lessons, the sermons, and the prayers into perspective. Being perfect is unpractical but being young and saved is not! I've done a whole lot of something for nothing. But after meeting Jesus Christ I decided I would give anything to have Him as my Everything!

WHY DOES SIN FEEL SO GOOD?

Question: WHY DOES SIN FEEL SO GOOD? Why would God allow something in arms reach to be so wrong , yet feel so right?

Answer 1: For one, not all "sin" feels good...in fact, in the long run, most sin feels awful.

· Sexual sins feel good, until your heart gets broken (or worse)

· gluttony feels good, until you gain so much weight you can't move

· lying and stealing feel good, until you get caught

· adultery feels good until you lose your family

· consuming any number of substances feels good, until you become addicted.

· even murder feels good, but only to a psychopath.

Answer 2: most of the "fun sins" are related to an aspect of our nature that serves a legitimate function in our survival

· sex is necessary for reproduction and an essential part of building unity in a marriage...eating is necessary for our body to function and grow. Most drugs that people use "recreationally" (and often "abuse") have valid medical uses to treat or cure illness and disease.

Answer 3: God isn't messing with people by making "really good things" that are harmful

· all of those "really good things" serve "really good" purposes...but only when they are used as they were designed to be used. A lawn mower does a really good job of cutting your lawn...but if you try to use it to cut your hair, you're going to wind up in the emergency room. That's just the way "things" work.

Of course it is hard to live for God every day of our lives...do you think it should be easy to live up to the expectations of a being who claimed to have created us in HIS image? How easy was/is it to live up to your parent's expectations of you...and they're flawed humans!

Focus on what you can control...your own choices. Then ask yourself whether someone who really cared about you would recommend that you cut your hair with a lawnmower or any other abuse of something created for a different purpose? Who is telling the truth when he says he cares about you...a father who recommends you wait to have sex and eat a healthy diet or one who encourages you to have sex with anyone you want for any reason and eat whatever tastes good to you???

WHATEVER YOU DO OR ARE DOING…DON’T STOP PRAYING!

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY!!!

...The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:16
You ever not feel like praying? …or wanted to pray and felt like your voice was the last words God wanted to hear?...or tried to pray and couldn’t find the words?
WHATEVER YOU DO OR ARE DOING…DON’T STOP PRAYING!
God loves a broken and contrite heart…and He wants to hear from you….YES YOU! Don’t be deceived by the enemy, and not pray about a situation, during the situation. Thats what he wants you to do. The enemy understands that PRAYER CHANGES THINGS because the One you pray to has the power to transform any situation whether it is big or small. He has the power to help you, especialy when you cannot help yourself.

It is easy not  todo, what we don’t feel like doing…even when it is what we need to be doing the most. I encourage you to pray! It doesn’t have to be long, ‘GOD I NEED YOU!’ goes further than you could ever imagine. Sometimes I find myself at a lost for words and pray someone else’s prayer from the bible , like Psalms 51 below, because how fitting it is many times in my life. No matter what you say or how you say it, just say it and trust God.

Psalm 51 "Be gracious to me, O God, according to Thy lovingkindness; According to the greatness of Thy compassion blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I know my transgressions, And my sin is ever before me. 4 Against Thee, Thee only, I have sinned, And done what is evil in Thy sight, So that Thou art justified when Thou dost speak, And blameless when Thou dost judge. 5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me. 6 Behold, Thou dost desire truth in the innermost being, And in the hidden part Thou wilt make me know wisdom. 7 Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. 8 Make me to hear joy and gladness, Let the bones which Thou hast broken rejoice. 9 Hide Thy face from my sins, And blot out all my iniquities. 10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. 11 Do not cast me away from Thy presence, And do not take Thy Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of Thy salvation, And sustain me with a willing spirit. 13 Then I will teach transgressors Thy ways, And sinners will be converted to Thee. 14 Deliver me from bloodguiltness, O God, Thou God of my salvation; Then my tongue will joyfully sing of Thy righteousness. 15 O Lord, open my lips, That my mouth may declare Thy praise. 16 For Thou dost not delight in sacrifice, otherwise I would give it; Thou art not pleased with burnt offering. 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; A broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise... Amen

Excuses, Excuses!!!

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY!!!

Genesis 3:11-13

11And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

12And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

13And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

Examples of excuse for disobedience can be found from the beginning of time…and we all have had one at one time or another. According to dictionary.com an excuse is an unjustified or false reason for something....

Wondering why me, God?

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY!!!
Romans 8:28 "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God"
All Things: Everything that has happened, happens or will happen

Sometimes we wonder:
What did I do to deserve this?' or
'Why did God have to do this to me?'

God's cake....
A daughter is telling her Mother how everything
is going wrong, she's failing algebra, her boyfriend
broke up with her and her best friend is moving away.
Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake and
asks her daughter if she would like a snack, and the
daughter says, 'Absolutely Mom, I love your cake.'
'Here, have some cooking oil,' her Mother offers.
'Yuck' says her daughter.
'How about a couple raw eggs?' 'Gross, Mom!'
'Would you like some flour then?
Or maybe baking soda?'
'Mom, those are all yucky!'
To which the mother replies:
yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves.
But when they are put together in the
right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake! '
God works the same way. Many times we wonder why
He would let us go through such bad and difficult
times. But God knows that when He puts these things
all in His order, they always work for good! We just
have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all
make something wonderful!
God is crazy about you.
He sends you flowers every spring and
a sunrise every morning.
Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen.
He can live anywhere in the universe,
and He chose your heart.
If you like this, send this on
to the people you really care about.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are
here we might as well dance!

I have come to appreciate hardships, and know that I have faced some hard times!!!  Yesterday, this time I was waiting for the verdict of  my appeal to being kicked out my program at my university and denied my grades (for the second time).  However, today I am grateful and so thankful for absurd charges being dropped and the opportunity to continue in this same program and finally graduate. My college experience has been enjoyable at times, but it was in between those times that I  experienced death, debit, loneliness, stress, health issues and more these past couple of years.  However,  as I write this blog, I am ever so grateful for all of these obstacles.  I am truly a stronger and better person as a result of each trial and more importantly I am closer to God.

I pray your strength during  tough times. Be encouraged and continue to trust in the One who will never leave nor forsake you. Praise be to God, who has the final say and knows how much we all can bear!

Love, Ashlee

What Are You Saying?

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY!!!
Pro. 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

You would be surprised by the power of speech.  I can recall things being said to me, no matter how simple, that have remained with me (some good, some bad).  In addition,  there are things that I have said that have stuck with me (some good, some bad).  I encourage you to be cautious of your confession and  others counteracting them.  I have listed a few of the many verses that would be useful in your everyday dialogue.

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD.

I John 4:4 ...Greater is he that is in me, than He that is in the world

Proverbs 18:10
The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe.

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Romans 8:28
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Romans 8:31
If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

Romans 8:38-39
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Ephesians 3:20-21
Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.

Fear Is Holding You Back - T. D. Jakes

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY!!!
Matthew 27But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid." 28"Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water." 29"Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!" 31Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"

  •  When you allow the things on the outside to get on the inside you begin to go down.
  •  Build up a defense to the things on the outside keep them from getting on the inside.
  • You don’t want to associate, become tied up with, become intricately involved with people who penetrate your pitch
  • Negative, doubtful, fearful, bad news boys who keep comin into your life … begin to leave holes in your faith.
  • You want to be with people who build you up…. so you can go through it without it going through you.
  • Whatever your mouth is talkin’ about that’s what your heart is filled with.
  • They’re afraid of the solution.
  • God is hard to recognize in a storm.
  • Stuck on the boat of mediocrity.
  • Peter is the only one willing to leave the boat.

 Fear:

  •   It’s a spirit that won’t let you be happy.
  • It’s a spirit that won’t let you have joy.
  • It’s a spirit that won’t let you walk in confidence.
  • It’s a spirit that keeps you living in your past.

What would you do if you had no fear?
That is what fear is robbing from you.

Know Your Limits!

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY!!!
"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him... John 6:44

So they have yet to get saved and you cannot convince them to come to church!  Don't get frustrated! Know your limits! ...And Let God do His Job!

Understand, I'm not saying it is wrong to witness and tell people about the goodness of God.  It is our job to do that, but we are to only plant the seed.  God says, " He will watch His word and perform it."

I encourage you to share the word of God with family and friends and pray that they will have a ear to hear God and that He will be revealed to them.  Nonetheless,  remember how you came to God.  Was it willingly?  Normally we have to go through something where God is all we have and then we come to know God is all we need.  I know you want to save people from hardships and give them hope, but pray God's protection and will over their life while there situation leads them to their salvation.

And most importantly love them with the love of the Lord and be a light.  Not many can take correction and reproof, so it is important to share God's love with gentleness and not judgement.

We are all saved by grace.

Be encouraged,
Ashlee

Anything Less, Isn't Love...

  Bible Verse of the Day!!!
1 Corinthians 13:4- 7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love is patient,
True love is unconditional, that is, it does not depend on the attributes or lack thereof of the person loved, therefore, it is willing to give as much time necessary, and as much space as necessary for that person to grow.

love is kind and is not jealous;
Love seeks to give others something of benefit for their welfare, and consequently, rejoices when they do benefit.

love does not brag and is not arrogant,
To lift one's self up in reference to others leaves no room for unconditional, graceful love.

does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own,
To act inappropriately, shamefully (morally, especially in the area of sexual purity) is not in accordance with true love. Love never seeks it's own gratificaiton but rather the interests of others.

is not provoked,
Selfishness seeks to manipulate others by stimulating certain selfish emotions. Love will not do this to others, nor will it let it happen to itself.

does not take into account a wrong suffered,
Forgivenss. Let it go. Bitterness is the acid. You are the container. Get rid of it or it will kill you.

does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
Love does not somehow gloss over things that are going to be hurtful. True love originates from the truth.

bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
If love really is unconditional, it will hold any weight, face any doubt, persist through hopelessness, and last any trial

Love never fails...
If it did, would it be love?

GET REAL, BE HONEST, BE FREE!

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY!!!
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

I have come to realize the closer I get to God through prayer and His Word (the Truth), the Ashlee that I have tried to hide from others and myself is exposed. Everyone loves a compliment and some words of affirmation but there are few who can receive correction and can endure a reality check…smh (shaking my head) at myself being one of them.

I’ve grown up hearing “THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE! SO BE HONEST!’’ With my father being a pastor I normally heard this before I was about to get a spanking and we both new I was lying to save myself. But you know what!…I still got a spanking no matter how good I lied. The same is true in my life today. I can lie and do things in secret all I want, but I only fool myself. God sees and knows all and there is still a consequence and a life beating I will have to suffer.

How many times have you thought you got off the hook for something, and later on found yourself paying for it???
Now, I know BEING HONEST with yourself and others IS VERY HARD TO DO. When I decided to be honest in this blog, my texts, on facebook and twitter today I felt very uneasy. Nonetheless, I did not want to tell someone to do something that I would not because of fear. I just hope that every reader is mature and understands:

James 5:16 therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Nevertheless, regardless how my honesty is received, because I let it out I am freed from the captivity of burdensome secrets.  THE PRESSURE OF BEING PERFECT IS SELF-IMPOSED...I'M NOT PERFECT BUT I SERVE A GOD THAT IS!  So I am not ashamed and will continue to acknowledge and share my testimony.

Revelation 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

My name is Ashlee Cooper. I am a recovering liar, manipulator, stealer, fornicator and procrastinator. I haven’t been clean of these sins for long. However, I thank God for Jesus, His truth causing me to be honest with myself and the freedom I now have.

God I thank you for the Bible. I am thankful that it is a book of life and those that read it are freed and are able to beginning truly living a life of abundance. God I thank you for the guidance it provides and the motivation it brings to encourage us to do better, understanding that you have a plan and purpose for our lives. Thanks for the reminder of your forgiveness towards us and the Savior you sent for us. Through your Word may our wrongs be revealed and a desire to do right be instilled in our hearts. In the name of Jesus I pray. AMEN

SATISFIED?

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY!!!

Ecclesiastes 2:10-11 I denied myself nothing my eyes desired; I refused my heart no pleasure. My heart took delight in all my work, and this was the reward for all my labor. Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun.

A minister to celebrities once turned to a video camera and stated,“Hey, to all you out there in TV land who think money will solve your problems; I deal with people who have money and have many problems…’’ But don’t take his or my word for it be my guest and Google Michael Jackson, Lindsey Lohan, R. Kelly, Whitney Houston (just to name a few) and read up on them.

Solomon continuously expresses in Ecclesiastes that everything is Meaningless! This man who had wisdom, power, wealth and even the favor of God talked about how all this world has to offer is emptiness.

He realized that only God could make him happy. He wanted those of us who read this book not to waste time chasing after everything in the world to make us happy. Solomon wanted us to realize that success and prosperity do not last long that in the end we will end up disappointed but true happiness comes from a relationship with God. Nothing in this world can satisfy the place that only God can fill. It doesn't matter what kind of home you live in, what kind of car you drive, or what your bank account says, only a relationship with God can satisfy the longings, restlessness and emptiness inside you.

God is fulfilling. Know you don’t have to be hollow but can be whatever God wants you to be. Which for all of us includes the fruits of the spirit: love; joy; peace; patience; kindness; goodness; faithfulness; gentleness; self-control. And one if not several gifts of the spirit: the gift of wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, performing miracles, prophecy, discerning spirits, tongues, interpreting tongues, administration, and helpfulness. WOW! Did you ever realize what all you can hold if you will just let go and let God?

So amidst your busy schedules of school, work, and pleasure keep in mind these things are temporal and will pass away, but God remains the same today, yesterday, and tomorrow. Let Him satisfy you!.

Lord, unveil our own hearts and desires to ourselves as we sit under Your word. Show us the idols; show us the things that we desire more than You. Show us the things that we desire instead of You. If we are apart from You, show us our deepest unhappiness; an unhappiness that can only be answered by Your Word, Yourself. Make then Your Word a skillful surgeon to our hearts, and Your Spirit to grant us new life as we see our poverty and need, and see the only hope of the fulfillment of that poverty and need in Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray. Amen.

YOU ARE NOT AS 'MESSED UP' AS YOU THINK!

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY!!!
Ephesians 1: 4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.

No matter how saved and holy we are (or think we are)… we will ALWAYS, and I repeat ALWAYSfall short of the glory of God, and I am GLAD that we have an advocate in Jesus Christ, because He is one who sticks closer than a brother… and loves us unconditionally, even when we slip up and make mistakes in life!

Know that God is YOUR Father… He is NOT just some sort of distant cosmic entity, that is FAR from you and untouchable to you… but He is the one who breathed life in you and calls you His son, or His daughter.

Even when you mess up and fall short of His glory (which you better believe you will)… He will ALWAYS love you and be pleased with you. He may not always be pleased with your actions or thoughts… but you as a person, He will ALWAYS love!

Now that doesn’t mean you have a license to PURPOSELY sin and live a life of hell because of His forgiving grace. Hebrews 10:26 tells us:

“If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.”

DECLARATION OF FAITH: God thanks for loving me unconditional and everlasting. I acknowledge the fact that I have done things in my life that I am not proud of… but I know if I turn them over to you in faith, that you will continue to mold me into the man or woman of God that you have destined me to be.

Be blessed today!

Se7en: "The JESUS Piece" Poetry

Self Control vs Self Indulgence

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY!!!

James 1:12 - 14 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. 13When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.

We all are tempted, but by what we are tempted varies person to person.  For one it could be alcohol an drugs, another people and words, another food and money, another clothes and cars, another fame, etc. No matter what it is, know that we will never be tempted by something we didn't want in the first place.  More importantly, understand that the enemy knows what you desire after. Therefore, it is crucial to harbor a great deal of self-control and take the ways of escape offered to us by God.

God knows and will not give you more than you can bear, but we certainly place ourselves in situations and around people that we know  creates an issue of self-control for us.

In the Name of Jesus Christ, I pray against the strongman in and over our lives and demand our joy, peace, blessings, freedom and every material and spiritual possession that has been taken from us back.  I loose the strongman's influence over every part of our body, soul and spirit.  May every old, wrong, ungodly pattern of thinking, attitude, idea, desire, belief, motivation, habit and stronghold attached to these things be destroyed and not curse us anymore.  Let us walk in our authority and be powerful and not powerless.  Amen

Wait, Trust and Get Prepared

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY!!!

Psalm 27:14 Wait for the Lord; Be strong, and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord.
James 2:20 ...faith without works is dead

No one likes to wait and many grow weary and weak while waiting.

However, the wait period is very essential  and takes a lot of strength. The wait period  should be seen as an opportunity to get ourselves together.  Most likely we will never experience a day where money is raining from the sky, our dream car will be parked in front of our house with a bow, the bill collectors will say forget your balance, the CEO will call you and saying he has a job for you without you ever filling out an application or having an interview, etc.  So, don't waste your waiting time by just hoping and expecting without working.

I pray that your strength is renewed while you wait for your circumstances to be transformed, promises to be kept and favor of others to be shown.  Ashlee

Make A Wise Investment

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY!!!

Matthew 19Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

Most of what we spend our time, effort and money will prove to be a waste of our time effort and money.  In addition, most of what we decide not to give our time, effort and money would have been a wise investment of our time, effort and money.

I was listening to a man's spoken word and he said two things that was great food for thought:
1)  We'll take drives a cross town for sex, but for God wouldn't take two steps
2) We'll spend $20 - $30 on weed, $15 on the liquor, $ 25 on the club but fold our hands when the offering plate comes to us

Yesterday, I shared a verse that gave a glimpse of how good God is to and for us.  However, though he gives us His best we won't even give us our trash.  I encourage you to make an investment that will last and not pass, give God your all...and have everything you'll ever need and more than what you could have imagined to ask.

Love you all very much, time for me to head to church!

Know A Good Thing When You Got It!

Bible Verse of the Day!!!
Psalm 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless.

Yeap!  He is just that good!

I once had a status that said: He dismissed her for wanting to wait for marriage to have sex.  She dismissed him for wanting a wife and not a friends with benefits.  They both dismissed God because they didn't know a good thing when they had it.

Don't be foolish...understand who God is and what he wants to be and do for you!

I pray you prosper and become all God intended for you to be.  I pray for your encouragement and protection.

The Game Plan

Bible Verse of the Day
Proverbs 19:21
Many are the plans in the heart and mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand. ESV

Our game plan is to gain prosperity with the least amount of work. (Get Money, Spend Money and Enjoy Money).  We want to sail smoothly through life, get an education, a job, car, house, spouse, family, go on dream vacations, and experience no trials and obstacles.  Some people’s plans don’t even include any education and a job.THIS IS SO UNREALISTIC!!!

Well, God has a game plan too and it is very realistic and guarantees a win! However, it involves a lot of conditioning, practicing, many obstacles, much perseverance, some pain, some tears and many lessons being taught and learned. He knows that it is not until we realize God is all we have, that we discover He is what we need to obtain ultimate victory!

James 1:2-4 states Consider it pure joy, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything

God doesn’t want to hurt us but He wants provide us with counsel and correction, so when we get the job, the car, the house, the spouse, the family and more we are equipped to handle it and will appreciate it. God’s plan is that we understand the strategy of the game of life is to pray, seek counsel, have faith and work to do His will. This strategy guarantees us obtaining the things He has for us (which are abundantly above all we could ever ask or think, by the way! : ).

I pray you allow God to lead and guide you to an expected end - Ashlee

God knows what you can't handle!

I Corinthians 10:13
.... And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear...

Have you ever thought about how worst it could of been had it not been for God?

What if God gave us everything we wanted?  Understanding that our desires change and we certainly don't always know what is best for us the very thing we thought would have been a Come Up could have Torn Us Down.

That car you wanted, the money you dream for, the house you desired to own, the men or women you wanted to love you,  the job you applied for and didn't get may had been God keeping you from something.  He knows what it  is on the other side of  every request.  He plans the traffic jams  that saved you from an accident or the call dropped that protected you from the comments that awaited you and more.  God knows the difference between a situation that will teach you a lesson or cause you to lose your mind.

Everyone has a story and I am sure you have heard some peoples testimony and known that you could not have handle their situation.  Today thank God for protecting you from the unseen and unknown!

Introduction of Our Daily Dose

Someone recently asked me what my dream was and I replied by saying that I want to be heard, whether it was through talking, singing, song writing, etc. However, let me make a correction based on the content of my conversations and songs: I WANT HIM TO BE HEARD! God isn’t really asking for all that much! Being perfect is unpractical but being young and saved is very practical, especially with the guidance the Bible provides.

As I continue to read His word, I am amazed by all that it covers. You want drama, action, comedy; tear- jerking stories, romance, comfort, something you can relate to all in one place? God has all that and more in the BIBLE. Wanting to share what has become the foundation of my transformation I started sending daily Bible verse text messages to five people and now I send them to 76, thanks to word of mouth. Not wanting to be limited by 160 characters I have created this blog to share God’s Word and provide understanding, through small discussion.
BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understandingProverb 4:7 KJV

God’s Word is powerful but only applicable with an understanding.
