Fear Is Holding You Back - T. D. Jakes

BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY!!!

Matthew 27But Jesus immediately said to them: "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid." 28"Lord, if it's you," Peter replied, "tell me to come to you on the water." 29"Come," he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, "Lord, save me!" 31Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. "You of little faith," he said, "why did you doubt?"

•  When you allow the things on the outside to get on the inside you begin to go down.
•  Build up a defense to the things on the outside keep them from getting on the inside.
• You don’t want to associate, become tied up with, become intricately involved with people who penetrate your pitch 
• Negative, doubtful, fearful, bad news boys who keep comin into your life … begin to leave holes in your faith.
• You want to be with people who build you up…. so you can go through it without it going through you.
• Whatever your mouth is talkin’ about that’s what your heart is filled with.
• They’re afraid of the solution.
• God is hard to recognize in a storm.
• Stuck on the boat of mediocrity.
• Peter is the only one willing to leave the boat.

 Fear:

•   It’s a spirit that won’t let you be happy.
• It’s a spirit that won’t let you have joy.
• It’s a spirit that won’t let you walk in confidence.
• It’s a spirit that keeps you living in your past.

 What would you do if you had no fear?

 That is what fear is robbing from you.
